Frequently Asked Questions About Portraits
I hate having my picture taken, why should I do this?

You’ve reached an important benchmark in your life. It’s important to share your accomplishment with your parents and friends. Before you venture out into the world, take the time to document how you look right now.

Is this going to be fun?

We like relaxed and natural poses, so we’ll keep your session stress-free and fun. Let us photograph you at a variety of area landmarks, or in our studio. We need your input. Bring in your favorite items as props and help us portray your unique interests.

What props should I bring?

Your favorite things. What hobbies do you have? How about bringing your trophies, musical instruments, sporting equipment, or pet? Let us know and we’ll start thinking of the perfect location or studio sitting to showcase your interests.

I’ve got this great idea, can you pull it off?

How wild is your idea? We are able to do full-out computer illustration, utilizing Adobe Photoshop®, Adobe Illustrator®, and Macromedia Painter®. Digital prints are available such as Giclee watercolor prints (and inkjet prints on various substrates though we can’t guarantee permanence). Traditional or lightly hand-tinted black & white portraits of you are also possible. Get more creative choices in your senior portraits. We can make almost any idea into visual reality. What are your interests? What are your dreams?

Can you fix this thing on my face?

While we do retouching of minor blemishes, moles, and circles under the eyes, please reschedule if you are sunburned or have strong tan marks. Braces can be removed digitally for an additional cost.

What about my glasses?

Please borrow an empty set of similar frames from your optometrist to wear during the sitting. Glasses will distort your face, cause glass glare, and limit your posing options.

Can I have a friend in my sitting?

Sure, we’ll be glad to take a few shots from your sitting for you and your friend.

How should I do my makeup?

Wear your usual makeup, but bring your cosmetics to the sitting.
